THE HOUSE AND THE ARCH

La Casa del Arco owes its name to its proximity to El Arco de la Villa, one of the entrances to the historic center of Conil de la Frontera, formerly called La Puerta de Vejer. Both the House and the Arch sit on the old wall that surrounded the old town.

THE CONSISTORIAL HOUSE

La Casa del Arco is a Patio Consistorial house from the end of the 19th century, specifically from 1880. One of the historical heritage houses in the center of town, in this case, only the ground floor was built in the first place, the first floor was built at the end of the 20th century.

THE HOUSE TODAY

Refurbished in 2020 by its new owners, with a modern and simple style, but with a lot of personality, it has 13 bedrooms designed to make the guest live a unique experience.

ONLY 13 ROOMS

The House has only 13 bedrooms, which makes it a cozy place, which allows it to preserve its history and charm, thanks to a fairly limited number of guests that it can host at a time. It has 6 bedrooms on the ground floor (including an adapted bedroom for guests with reduced mobility) and 7 on the first floor. All bedrooms have a double bed, and in four of them, the double bed can be converted in two single beds.

OPEN SPACES

Our common areas are bright and comfortable, you can enjoy different spaces such as the solarium, terrace and patio that have been refurbished keeping the original structure, corners invaded by Light and History.

SERVICES

During your stay you will have Wifi throughout the house, hairdryer and iron (available at reception).
In your bedroom you will have air-conditioning/heating and satellite TV.

NEW DESIGN AND RESPECT FOR HISTORY

The house has been recently refurbished with the idea to exploit all the light and the essence of the house. In its design we have respected all the history of it, because we believe that is what gives it that personality, that charm, and we want the guest to feel that unique experience of staying in such an authentic place in the historic centre of Conil.

Así lo vivimos

Susurros encontrados en el patio del colegio, silbidos de gaviotas entre las sábanas tendidas al sol en las soleadas azoteas.
Reflejos de paredes blancas sobre el mojado asfalto, latidos de unas campanas que suenan en lo alto tan cercanas.
Los rayos de sol que se cuelan en los charcos de las calles recién mojadas. Un soplo de aire fresco que se desliza por entre las rejas de los balcones.
Las sombras de largas antenas que difuminan el paisaje, al fondo, el son de un mar que ha estado ahí siempre, luciéndose ante todos nosotros.
El olor a puchero resbalando por los callejones, por las empinadas cuestas, el murmullo de las vecinas en los portales de las casas, en los patios, cargados de aromas.
El silencio en las alcobas con olor a caoba húmeda, a sábanas blancas recién planchadas.
Y en la esquina se esconde el sabor del café y de los rosquetes al atardecer, espesando el aire, llenando de trazos de luz y color cada rincón de este pequeño y luminoso pueblo.
